How Does it work?

Operators sign lease contracts with Success Leasing for their tractors. Lease payments on refrigerated equipment generally range from $711 to $883, based on the specification and age of equipment. In the Flatbed Division, payments range from $648 - $801 per week also based on the specification and age of equipment. A standard 4.5¢ per mile mileage charge is also applied to each lease. In the Tanker Division, payments range from $669 - $808, also based on specification and age of equipment.

Theses payments include Physical Damage Insurance, Bobtail and Deadhead Insurance, and Qualcomm Rental.

From June 2007 to July 2008, the weekly average miles per dispatched truck were 2,739 for the flatbed division, 2,582(solo) / 5,000(team) miles in the reefer division, and in the tanker division 2,220 miles. The weekly average revenue per mile was $1.55 for the flatbed division, $1.60 for the refrigerated division, and $1.84 for the tanker division. Weekly average revenue for that same period was $4,245 for flatbed, $4,131 (solo), $6,750 (team) for refrigerated and $4,048 for tanker.

Noteworthy: In this past year we have been able to increase freight rates when compared in a year over year manner, flatbed is up 19 cents per mile, reefer is up 15 cents per mile and tanker is up 13 cents per mile.

Upon signing a lease with Success Leasing, you are guaranteed an opportunity to sign an operating agreement with Prime. Once you're operating, you receive 72% of all line-haul revenues (70% in the tank division) generated by your truck. Prime, in turn, gets you the loads you need and support required to keep you and your equipment moving down the road.

Whenever and wherever you can save money, it's passed right back to you. For example, if you save money on fuel, whatever you save goes in your pocket. The more efficiently you run, the more money you make.

Prime was the first independent contractor company in North America to utilize Optistop, a computer program designed to evaluate routing and fueling alternatives, for driver associates. This unique and innovative system recommends the lowest fuel stops for any given dispatch, which enables driver associates to substantially cut fuel costs and ensure on-time delivery.

In order to receive a recommendation, driver associates, via Qualcomm, simply input information regarding their current fuel volume. Other data, which may be input by driver associates in order to customize recommendations, is optional and may be entered at the discretion of the operator. Optistop provides detailed information about the best fuel stops en route according to the truck's dispatched destination. The computer program factors in such items as recent fuel prices, Prime fuel discounts, fuel taxes, toll fees and so on.
